Being one of the greatest baddies in the Marvel world, Doctor Doom could make a buzz in the franchise. Marvel Studios now has the powers to the X-Men and Fantastic Four convictions back from Fox, it’s believed it’ll be an advantage for them to notice Doctor Doom into the Marvel Cinematic Universe immediately.
According to Charles Murphy, who had a pretty good track record about Marvel news, the marvel studio is planning to introduced Dr. Doom in the upcoming “Black Panther 2” as their main villain. Murphy cautions that this is not a “hot scoop” just yet, but it is something he has heard from a reliable source.
Apparently, “Victor Von Doctor Doom will begin expanding his empire, conquering parts of Africa and, ultimately, come into conflict with the nation of Wakanda and the Black Panther.”
Well, we know director Ryan Coogler has only recently begun to outline the script for the sequel, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he hasn’t already locked down the main story, so there’s always a chance detail have leaked out. Plus, Doom and T’Challa have faced off several times in the comics (most notably in 2010’s Doomwar), so there is some precedent for a clash on the big screen.
According to the source, we consider that Doctor Doom would not be the only villain, Namor is also still assumed to be one of the movie’s knaves. Murphy fears, nonetheless, that though this appears from a credible source, he still hasn’t been capable to check it through a second source so he’s including it a rumor for now.
Moreover, Murphy heeds that the foremost influence for BP2 will possible be Black Panther: Doomwar, the comic book experience in which Doom sought to gain control of Wakanda in order to get at its furnish of Vibranium, especially for its mystical resources.
Even if this is an idea that’s currently being discussed, it’s very early days so things could always change before the screenplay is complete. Still, there’s no denying that Black Panther 2 be a great way to bring this iconic character into the MCU!
